Lipstick stained her teeth,
Giving the impression that she suffered from consumption.

A tissue swiped
What manifested as blood
Died as a kiss.

We breathed bondage,
Blessed even
At the pleasure of envy.

Her happy fingernails,
Entrusted a scalpel smile.

By a falling of grace
We examined poetic anatomy.

She captured a duplicitous Selfie.

I confessed…
“A photograph steals a bit of the soul.”
“Yeah, so?”
“So, how much of ours is left to take?”
