I Think We Should Forget About Last Time and Focus On Now

Hidden jazz notes inside cavities,
Whistle broken enamel. Matching a tonal spontaneity
Clean and formal, enough to make sense.

There’s sleeping air dreaming of promises
To fractured solutions. Genitals announcing
Steroid use, as fat slabs smack like devious lips.

A crackle ensues each time a pill is crushed.
When an angel dies their Death Rattle
Matches this noise almost verbatim.

We whistle jazz notes at the police
While they beat our teeth-in;
How pleasing it was to lost them in our youth.
