“The geometry of innocence flesh on the bone
Causes Galileo’s math book to get thrown
At Delilah who sits worthlessly alone
But the tears on her cheeks are from laughter”
Galileo had to bow to the stars in order to observe them; posture of an arched back, closed eye, and open pupil cradling mountains on the moon and orbiting satellites, discovering truths to be inaugurated into public discourse. But after presenting his findings Galileo was treated like a Christian found in Rome. Imprisoned inside his domicile and publicly ridiculed to the point where his bow turned into a permanent slouch. Humanity wasn’t ready for the truth because it upset their isolationist approach concerning answers. Unfortunately hubris has yet to release its grasp on humanity’s neck. We’re strangled to the point of suffocation but still gasping enough to fill the Earth with torrid air.
Truths are entrenched and don’t require explanations; they only require understanding. Our perceptions of the truth will vary but the facts will not.
Trust the facts. Don’t trust people. People tend to murder each other when perceptions differ. That’s a fact?
