Envious of Her Toothbrush

I envy her toothbrush.
She brushes her teeth
Before we kiss. Aquafresh,
Crest, Colgate
Invigorate esteem
As I wander store aisles,
Thinking of her flavor.

I’d taste her air
As a favor
To bliss. Mouthwash
To sustain a gargle
Of memory.

Her morning breath
Influences joy
My day’s dialogue.
And each listener questions,
“What’s that scent in your voice?”
And I respond,
“Oh that? Haah. Well.
That’s happiness.”
